Emily Fitzgerald (she/her/hers)
Registered Massage Therapist

image0_edited.jpg

Emily holds a bachelor's in psychology and is an RMT graduate from Langara College who's passionate about movement, stress reduction, and helping others with finding their mind-body connection.

Having received massage therapy since a young age and experiencing its benefits she looks to take her experience along with her education and help others with manual therapy to assist in regulating the nervous system and finding how the mind and body connect.

She is focused on helping her patient's create harmony in their life by relieving pain, removing tension, and encouraging healing through slow, rhythmic, relaxation massage.

While in school, Emily had the opportunity to work with a variety of people and presentations, from office workers to athletes, to the elderly, to those with spinal cord injuries. These experiences have helped shape her into an empathetic, well-rounded clinician who is confident in providing relaxation massage safely while treating clients with a variety of conditions.

With her history in personal training, a variety of sports and her own previous injuries she is also able to provide education for her patients to incorporate self-care habits into their routine to prolong the effects of massage, and how to manage stressors in day-to-day life.

She often uses Swedish, Myofascial, Trigger Point, and active techniques (among others) to induce relaxation and rehabilitation but is able to tailor each massage to the individual to maximize benefits.
